When should I stop cutting my lawn?
The simple answer to this is when it stops growing. Grass will continue to grow regardless of the time of year if the soil temperature stays above 6c. Don’t be afraid to cut well into the winter months. The excuses we hear are that it’s too wet to cut, and it’s usually too wet because it is too long. Rotary mowers are perfectly capable of cutting wet grass so long as it’s not left too long, or you do not try to cut too much at once. Setting the cut height high and then reducing it should do the trick.
